Teasing me

I would just like to preface this with....I AM NOT STUPID.

I have a friend whose husband teases me like I am totally stupid. He treats me like I don't have a brain cell to spare.

I also have another friend whose husband teases me but in an intelligent way which will lead to somewhat clever banter. I love this by the way.

How do I know if the first friend's husband thinks I am dumb? I suppose I could ask him but then that just makes me look.....DUM.
